support

Hi,

Sorry, I'm a few days late this week.

If you don't live in Ottawa, you may not know that our Triple-A baseball team, the Lynx, have likely played their last game ever. When they started in 1993, the attendence for every game was very good. Then, as the years passed, the novelty wore off. By about 2000, the "crowds" were between 1000-2000 for the games. The last few years were the same. There was the odd Saturday or Sunday afternoon game that drew over 3000.

I came to realize that Ottawa is just not a baseball town. Then came the aggrivating part. On the last day of the existence of the Ottawa Lynx, September 3rd, 2007, there was 7,500 people there. In the past years the team was lucky to have a quarter of that attend any given game.

Sorry to say, but you "fans" in this town make me sick. It's like spitting in the face of every real fan in the city.
